​REGULAR EVENTS:

• Meditation Group - every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm Abdon Village Hall. Just turn up and give it a try. Free of charge, all welcome. Tea, biscuits and a chat to end the evening. • UFO (Un Finished Objects) craft morning - every 2nd Saturday each month at Abdon Village Hall 10.30am to 12.30pm. Bring along your unfinished projects. Join us and learn a new craft skill or teach your craft skills to someone else. Please supply your own materials. Please make a donation for refreshments. 
• Coffee morning - last Saturday each month in Abdon Village Hall 10.30am to 12.30pm (except for December). Join us for coffee, cake and a chat, everyone welcome!
• Church Services - 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at St. Margaret's Church, Abdon. See the St. Margaret's Church page for details. Please see the latest Corvedale News or Corvedale Parishes Facebook page for updates. 
• Abdon District Community Wildlife Group - The programme of events for 2026 is attached below.
• Women's Institute - 2nd Monday of the month at 2pm, Clee St.Margaret Village Hall. 
• Parish Council meetings - usually the second Wednesday in January, May, July and October in Abdon Village Hall. See the Parish Council page for details.

• St Margaret’s Church, Abdon - DONATIONS for LUDLOW FOOD BANK in the church porch. Any non-perishable food, unopened and in date will be very welcome, for example: tinned foods, long-lasting drinks, food cupboard items. Your donations will a make a difference and help someone. Donations will be taken regularly to the Ludlow Food Bank. THANK YOU.

  • Sunday 4th October - 6pm in Holdgate Church (for Holdgate and Munslow)
  • Sunday 18th October - 6pm in Diddlebury Church (for Culmington and Diddlebury)
  • Sunday 25th October - 6pm in Abdon Church (for Abdon and Tugford)

• 8th October - Wildlife Group. Lucy Grove, agroecologist, is giving this week's Page's Meadow talk with local examples of  landscape regeneration projects.  Clee St Margaret Village Hall at 7.00pm.
• Saturday 17th October - Wildlife Group Fungi Walk. 10am Karl's Wood, Ashfield Road, SO5925 8929, what3words autumn.fancy.items. Karl will be leading this walk in his woodland which is a remnant of ancient woodland. Primarily looking for fungi but any bryophytes or lichens found will not be ignored I am sure.  Bring a packed lunch. Parking available on site.
• Tuesday 20th October - BROWN CLEE PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP. Ditton Priors Village Hall. Door open at 6.30 7.00 pm meeting start. Refreshments available before the meeting.

• 24th and 25th October – To mark the CPRE Centenary, CPRE Shropshire is holding a Hedgerows in the Hills weekend that celebrates the wonderful Shropshire countryside and the hedgerows that criss-cross it. A variety of walks, talks, demonstrations and lots of activities for children including a Big Hedge Hunt - all in the beautiful setting of Acton Scott Heritage Farm! CPRE Shropshire has been standing up for our countryside for about 80 years, with CPRE National Office celebrating their centenary this year. We are celebrating the geology of Shropshire, being the most diverse in the world. And we're entering our sixth year of replacing/replanting hedgerows in Shropshire. We look forward to seeing you at Acton Scott.
